Configura signs Solinoff for CET Designer® Extension

Colombia-based Solinoff is Configura’s second manufacturer client in South America

South America-based Solinoff has selected contract-furniture-industry software provider Configura to produce a CET Designer Extension for Solinoff’s product lines.

“Solinoff’s focus is developing and designing work spaces with high flexibility and technology as part of the production process,” Solinoff Owner and President Guillermo Flórez said. “Configura’s technology and the CET Designer solution fit perfectly with our mission as a company.”

Solinoff was founded in 1987, specializing in manufacturing storage systems. Over the years, the Bogota, Colombia-based company has grown to have three manufacturing plants, producing award-winning lines of office furniture and with specialties that include metal, wood-working, laminates and chairs among other products.

“We’re excited to welcome our second client in South America,” Configura CEO Johan Lyreborn said. “Solinoff is a progressive company that’s expanding into other countries, and CET Designer’s ability to streamline work processes will help with their growth plans.”

Solinoff has been expanding into Peru and Chile and plans to enter European and North American markets, said Flórez.

CET Designer helps manufacturers and their dealers/designers to more quickly bring product to market by providing a single software solution for accurately designing, specifying, rendering, ordering and creating installation documents.

“It’s about better communication, accuracy and efficiency. CET Designer enables effective communication between the sales staff and manufacturing management, and between sales staff and end-clients,” Configura Vice President Peter Brandinger said. “Products are ordered with the confidence that they’ve been accurately specified.”

CET Designer integrates with ERP systems and AutoCAD, which also streamlines workflow.

“Well-designed and engineered products are the cornerstone of our business. Part of that process is the time to market to the end-customer. We believe CET Designer will cut down that time because it is a more efficient, accurate and visual solution,” said Enrique Barrios, Solinoff’s vice president of finance and administration.

Solinoff is identified by a dolphin on its brand, which was chosen because of its intelligence, speedy movement and friendliness – values that drive the company through its endeavors.

Configura serves the European and North and South American markets and counts 8,000 software users across the globe. The software is based on the concept of Parametric Graphical Configuration (PGC), also developed by Configura.

Manufacturer Extensions include Haworth’s Canvas Extension, Steelcase’s SmartTools Extension, Teknion’s Storyboard Extension, Spacefile’s SpaceTools Extension and Mepal’s iMAGINA Extension. Extensions are also underway for KI, Inscape and Aurora Storage Products with launches set for later this year.
