Configura at NeoCon 2009

Configura, Inc. , maker of Best of NeoCon Gold Award-Winning CET Designer® software used by Haworth, Spacefile, Steelcase and Teknion dealers, will be at the NeoCon World’s Trade Fair June 15-17 held at the Merchandise Mart in Chicago. Located in Booth 7-7046, Configura representatives from both Sweden and Grand Rapids will be presenting along with nationally known designer/trainer Cate Sword. New product: CET Designer® 2.2

CET Designer® 2.2, now available, includes a new graphics engine, which expands the ability of the software to handle projects with hundreds of workstations – without the need for AutoCAD, but completely compatible with AutoCAD. Specify, render, order – with one program.

Revit® Extension and CET Designer® 2.3 with fly-thru

Configura’s CET Designer® Revit® Extension, launching later this year, integrates the software for seamless collaboration among architects, dealers and furniture manufacturers using BIM for planning and design. It offers 3D visualization capabilities plus complete design and ordering, from inception to production to installation. The Revit® Extension will be complemented by CET Designer® 2.3, which has even faster graphics-card rendering (estimated to be 50 times faster and with photo-quality realism), fly-thru capabilities and movie output.

EMerge Alliance™

Configura has joined the EMerge Alliance™ and will, along with EMerge™ representatives, have important information to share about the adoption of safe, low-voltage DC power distribution and use in commercial building interiors. Emerge™ is in the process of developing a global standard that integrates interior infrastructures, power, controls and a wide variety of peripheral devices, such as lighting, in a common platform.
