August 2026 Release: More Precision, Better Workflows, Everyday Improvements
Some releases introduce a headline feature. Others improve the work you do every day. The August 2026 Release delivers a mix of both, with updates across CET 17.0 Minor and Spec 9.0 Minor that improve precision, productivity, and project workflows.
Many of the improvements in this CET update focus on helping users work more accurately while reducing everyday friction. New 3D snapping capabilities allow tools to snap directly to object edges and curves, while enhanced dimension controls provide greater flexibility when documenting designs. Support for diameter dimensions also makes it easier to communicate circular elements and technical details.

The release also improves workflow visibility. Users are now alerted when catalog updates affect an open drawing, making it easier to keep projects current. The return of the Advanced Filter gives users more control when navigating large catalogs, while updates to Part Tagging and other commonly used tools help streamline day-to-day work.
Another notable improvement is the expanded Picture Frame size limit, which now supports dimensions up to 500 x 500 meters or 1,640 feet. While not something every user will need every day, it opens up new possibilities for large-scale environments, backdrops, and visualization workflows.

Commercial Interiors: Better Material Workflows
For Commercial Interiors users, the biggest story is materials. Updates to Material Portal, Material Database integration, and Customer's Own Material (COM) workflows make it easier to find, apply, and manage materials while maintaining consistency throughout the project lifecycle. Material previews in Calculations and Spec, along with Query Locate functionality, further simplify material coordination and design workflows. The release also restores Office Accessories to the CET Tab structure, making it easier for users to find the tools they need. The result is less manual work, greater consistency, and improved continuity from design through specification and presentation.

More Realistic Design Visualization
Kitchen & Bath users gain new capabilities that improve both visualization and design flexibility. Realistic 3D worktop edge profiles make it easier to communicate design intent, while expanded joint alternatives provide more flexibility when creating and documenting detailed worktop solutions.

Combined with CET's broader improvements to precision and catalog workflows, these updates help users create and communicate designs with greater confidence. |
Faster Layout RefinementMaterial Handling receives some of the most visible enhancements in the August release. New Essential Conveyor components expand layout possibilities, while the new Trim Lines and Stretch Lines tools make it easier to adjust and refine warehouse designs without rebuilding existing work.

CollabPro enhancements support larger collaborative projects, including an expanded Edit mode that removes the previous seven-section limit. Combined with new Navisworks export capabilities, these improvements help teams iterate faster, reduce rework, and work more efficiently on complex layouts. |
Spec: From Project Data to Presentation
One of the standout additions in Spec 9.0 Minor is PowerPoint Export. Users can now create presentation-ready content directly from Spec using customizable templates, helping reduce manual work and streamline customer-facing deliverables.
