From Conversation To Configuration: Let’s Connect At Neocon
Each year, NeoCon is less about presentations and more about conversations. It’s where the commercial interiors industry comes together to share what’s changing, what’s working, and what comes next.
For Configura Yearbook 2025, we spoke with Lauren Beckman, Commercial Interiors Industry Lead and Senior Account Executive, about exactly that. For her, the value of events like NeoCon comes down to one thing: connection.
With over a decade in commercial interiors, Lauren has built her experience across manufacturers, dealerships, and design teams. That perspective shapes how she approaches both the industry and her role at Configura.
“I’ve always gravitated toward the connections across the industry — manufacturers, dealers, designers, and workflows,” she explains. “Being an Industry Lead is really about curiosity and paying attention to what the community needs.”
A more connected approach to design workflows
That idea of connection is something we see happening across the industry right now.
According to Lauren, commercial interiors is moving toward faster, more flexible, and more connected ways of working. Teams are designing, specifying, and selling across multiple roles and touchpoints, often in parallel rather than in sequence. As a result, the tools that support this work need to bring clarity without slowing things down.
At Configura, this is the foundation of how we build the Configura platform.
From early concepts through space planning, specification, and final output, our focus is on supporting complex workflows without adding unnecessary steps. And it requires tools that can keep up without adding friction.
Lauren started her Configura journey in 2024.
A tool for every step — without breaking the flow
Instead of solving a single isolated part of the process, the platform is designed to support the full journey, with everything fitting together naturally.
Whether you’re working in 3D space planning software, refining layouts, or handling product specification, the experience should feel connected. Information carries forward. Decisions stay aligned. Teams stay in sync.
For Lauren, this is also where her role comes into play—bringing real industry insight into how those tools evolve.
As she puts it, commercial interiors is not just about design. It’s about the entire process that surrounds it. And that’s where the biggest opportunity lies: supporting every part of that journey, without losing focus.
See it—and talk about it—at NeoCon
NeoCon gives us the chance to bring these ideas into real conversations.
Not just through demonstrations, but through discussions about how teams actually work today. Where processes slow down. Where handoffs happen. What could be simpler, and where better connections could make the biggest difference.
For Lauren, that’s the part she looks forward to most. She points to how powerful it is when people come together around a shared goal, and how quickly ideas really start to move when those conversations happen face to face.
And that’s exactly what NeoCon creates space for.

Let’s connect in Chicago
If you’re heading to NeoCon this year, we’d love to meet you.
Come by to see how the Configura platform supports everything from early design concepts to finalized solutions, and how it helps teams design more efficiently across connected workflows.
Or just stop by for a conversation. Those are usually where the best ideas start.
You’ll find us at Booth 7-5094.
