Dev Docs: Opening up Access
Earlier this year we released our new developer documentation platform at https://dev-docs.configura.com/. Our goals with the new platform were:
- Update the user experience of our documentation
- Get built-in history and quality control via standard versioning workflows
- Have access control we know and trust
- Allow many more people to contribute to our documentation than previously were able to
- Allow developers to contribute using tools and processes they’re already familiar with
Now that the new docs have been out for a few months with good feedback, we’re making some more updates!
Up until now, content could only be added or edited by Configurans. Today we’re opening up the GitLab repository to anyone, internal or external, with a Developer license. So if you’d like to contribute knowledge or fix outdated or incorrect information, we encourage and welcome anything you’d like to submit!
The full guide on how to contribute can be found here.
If you have feedback on an article but don’t want to write the edits yourself, feedback can still be submitted as normal in the GitBook feedback section on the right of any page:

What’s next:
- Migration of Catalog Specialist & Quality Assurance articles over from Help Center
