Approval Policy
Purpose
This policy outlines the requirements, process, and

Approval Criteria
Publishing Fee

- The annual Publishing Program fee must be paid in full
before an extension can receive final approval
- Fee payment status is verified as part of the approval
process
- For new extensions, the invoice must be settled before the
extension can be published to the Marketplace
- For renewal periods, payment must be received within 30 days
of invoice issuance to maintain extension availability

- Invoices are generated automatically upon Project creation
in MyConfigura
- Payment terms are net 30 days from invoice date
- Multiple payment methods are accepted, including bank
transfer and credit card
- Receipts are provided via email to the designated finance

Late Payment
Consequences
- Extensions with overdue payments may have their approval
status suspended
- After 60 days of non-payment, extensions may be temporarily
deactivated
- Extensions will be reactivated promptly once payment is
received and processed
- Repeated late payments may affect future approval
eligibility
For questions regarding invoicing or to update payment
information, contact your Account Executive or email

Security
Extensions must meet the following security requirements:
- Owner access is restricted to authorized personnel from the
owning organization
- No unauthorized data collection occurs
- No malicious code that interferes with other extensions or
catalogs

regulations
Scope and Intentions
Extensions must align with Configura’s ecosystem goals:

community

products

practices
Post-Approval
Expectations
Upon approval, Extension Owners are expected to maintain
certain standards:
Migrations
Extensions with custom CM code must be migrated to maintain
compatibility with major CET versions:
- Major CET versions are released twice yearly (May and
November)
- Extensions must be migrated within defined timeframes
- Early migration to beta distributions is encouraged for
quality assurance
For migration timeline details, see Release
Timeline Information.
Extensions must maintain performance and stability standards
as outlined in the Performance
and Stability Standards.
Code Access
Extension Owners must maintain code access as defined in the
Code
Access Policy.
User Support
Extension Owners must participate in the Basic Support
program by:
- Monitoring support tickets assigned to them
- Responding to user issues in a timely manner
- Maintaining accurate support contact information
For details, see the Basic
Support Policy.
Marketplace Access
Visibility and Access
Control
Extension Owners can control access to their extensions
through the MyConfigura Marketplace:
- Extensions can be made available for user request
- Extension Owners can require supervisor approval for
access
- Users can access approved extensions from multiple devices
(one at a time)
Benefits of
Marketplace Presence
Having an extension on the Marketplace provides:
- Visibility to thousands of CET users
- Promotion opportunities
- Streamlined distribution
- User feedback channels
Official Distribution
Access
Approved extensions gain the ability to publish to the
Official distribution channel of CET, which is used by all
production CET users.
Approval Revocation
Configura reserves the right to revoke approval if an
extension fails to maintain the standards outlined in the Publishing
Policy Guide. Reasons for revocation may include:
- Critical performance or stability issues
- Security vulnerabilities
- Failure to migrate to new CET versions
- Non-compliance with support requirements
- Violation of marketplace policies
- Poor financial standing with Configura
The process for approval revocation is detailed in the Uninstall
Policy.
Appeals Process
If approval is denied or revoked, Extension Owners may appeal
the decision by:
- Submitting a written appeal to their Account Executive
- Providing documentation addressing the identified
issues
- Requesting a review meeting with the Publishing Program
team
Appeals will be reviewed within 10 business days, and
decisions will be communicated with clear explanations.
Policy Changes
This policy may be updated periodically. All changes will be
communicated to Extension Owners with appropriate notice
periods.
