Bringing spaces to life with color and texture is something Cory Clute loves about her design career. As an interior designer at BII, a Haworth dealership in Boise, Idaho, Cory applies her passion for art and color by using CET Commercial Interiors to create beautiful spaces.
“There’s a lot I love about design, especially developing an atmosphere based on someone’s personality or a company’s culture,” Clute said. “CET offers so much creativity because you can really visualize a space. I love that you can tweak your rendering with light and finishes and make it look like a piece of art. It’s really fun and inspiring what you can do with CET.”
After earning her bachelor’s degree in interior design from Southwest University of Visual Arts in 2009, Cory went on to work at four different furniture dealerships in four different states, gaining experience specifying Haworth, Herman Miller and Steelcase products. Before she began designing with CET in 2013, Cory remembers using a variety of software programs to manually punch in part numbers and memorizing each bracket and work surface. Thanks to CET, her workflow is much more efficient.
“CET has made my life so much easier,” Clute said. “The fact that you can see everything while you’re designing makes a difference. I’m a much more confident designer because of CET, and it’s been an amazing tool for many of us at my dealership.”
In her role at BII, Cory uses CET for everything including creating concepts, space planning, live design, renderings and specifications. Her dealership has also experimented with virtual reality using Yulio’s Extension which immerses clients in a space so they can walk around and experience what it will look like. Cory also adds that live design has been a game-changer for collaborating with clients.

“CET is leaps and bounds above any other design program,” Clute said. “With CET, we can do live design with our clients, which allows us to show our ideas for a space in real time and it’s helpful because they can visually see what they’re getting.”
Cory’s favorite CET tip is creating vignettes of a space using 3D PhotoLab to show different views of a space without hiding walls.
When Cory isn’t designing beautiful spaces for her clients, you can find her hiking and backpacking with her husband, painting with watercolors, reading a book with a cup of tea in hand, traveling or hosting a game night with family and friends.
