Configura signs Connectrac for CET Designer® Extension

Configura recently signed Dallas-based Connectrac for a CET Designer Extension. Connectrac develops, manufactures and markets floor-mounted electrical access systems and a growing line of accessories. These products are being used in almost every type of facility – corporate, government, education, airport, healthcare and casino. The CET Designer Extension will be for Connectrac’s entire line.

Strong, a licensed architect, invented the Connectrac system to solve problems he regularly encountered while working as an architect on corporate interiors projects. He put together a team of product designers and manufacturers and began production in 2005.

CET Designer helps manufacturers and their dealers/designers to more quickly bring product to market by providing a single software solution for accurately designing, specifying, rendering, ordering and creating installation documents.

 

Connectrac wireway systems consists of shallow center aluminum tracks with removable aluminum caps, which form a cabling pathway. Along both sides of the center wireway portion are low-sloping ramps, which allow the flooring to gradually rise up and become flush with the removable wireway top cap. Power / voice /data cables enter into the cable pathway at a wall or building column and run through the system until they reach the connection device(s) located along the raceway. Four different product series complete the Connectrac line along with a host of accessories.

Configura’s CET Designer Extensions also include Haworth’s Canvas Extension, Steelcase’s SmartTools Extension, Teknion’s Storyboard Extension, Spacefile’s SpaceTools Extension and Carvahal Espacios’s iMAGINA Extension. Extensions are also underway for KI, Inscape, Aurora Storage Products and Solinoff, with launches set for later this year. Connectrac’s Extension is planned to launch the summer of 2011.
