Configura’s Beginner and Advanced CET Designer training courses have been approved by the Interior Design Continuing Education Council (IDCEC) for Continuing Education Unit (CEU) credits.
Introduction to Configura CET Designer (Course number 40184) and Advanced Configura CET Designer (Course number 40185) CEUs are accepted by the American Society of Interior Designers (ASID), Interior Designers of Canada (IDC) and the International Interior Design Association (IIDA).The classes qualify for 1.6 CEUs.
“We’ve been working toward this designation and are very pleased to receive it – it’s very important to us as a company, but it’s even more important to the designers who use our software,” Configura Training & Support Manager Tracy Lanning said. “It’s further validation of the CET Designer software and our training as best practices in the design industry.”
The IDCEC course review system assures jurisdiction regulation boards, membership organizations and interior design professionals that instructors are qualified to lead courses, course content is relevant to professional interior design practice, course quality is high and teaching methodologies are appropriate.
Configura’s CET Designer software is based on Configura Extension Technology. Manufacturers invest in rules-based Extensions to ensure accurate specification of their products. CET Designer Extensions include Haworth’s Canvas Extension, Steelcase’s SmartTools Extension, Teknion’s Storyboard Extension, Spacefile’s SpaceTools Extension and Carvajal Espacios’s iMAGINA Extension. Extensions are also underway for KI, Inscape, Aurora Storage Products, Solinoff and Connectrac. The CET Designer ProjectSymbols Extension additionally provides access to approximately 80 percent of office furniture manufacturers’ product symbols.
