Results of “Tell us what you want in CET” user survey

Before the recent User Conference held in Las Vegas, Configura surveyed CET Designer users to learn what they’d like us to focus on for future enhancements.

Configura’s Johan Lindholm and Amy Edington presented the results at the User Conference. Here’s a summary of their presentation:

In terms of Drawing capabilities, users asked us to focus on: 

• Mirror
• Replace
• Alignment tools
• Moving by accident

In terms of Rendering capabilities, users asked us to focus on:

• More options with lights and shadows
• Light Studio
• Fly thrus
• Better control over values used
• Control over texture mappings
• Being able to see through some objects and keep others solid
• Add a couple of standard setup-ups
• Sketch type output
• More predefined finishes
• User Preferences

Users also asked us for the ability, in Specials/Solid Modeler, to edit and manipulate the models and symbols to represent specials in the drawing 2D and 3D environment.
