Configura Inc. signed a new client, Mepal S.A., a Carvajal company based in Cali, Colombia, to produce an Extension for Mepal’s office furniture product lines.
“Configura's technology has a proven track record. We are pleased to work with Configura because of the company’s proven, state-of-the-art software technology and the very talented people behind it,” Mepal S.A. President Gerardo Carvajal L. said.
Configura Extension Technology (CET), the basis for CET Designer® software and Extensions, complements Mepal's vision and value proposition.
“We’re excited to have Mepal as a client and pleased to expand our customer base to South America,” Configura CEO Johan Lyreborn said. “The software’s simplicity, ease of use and powerful visualization capabilities will enable Mepal’s Extension users to design and specify projects faster.”

Mepal is Configura’s first South-American-based customer. Configura already serves the European and North American markets and counts 8,000 software users across the globe.
“With a CET Extension, we’ll leverage a clear competitive advantage that will provide us with the opportunity to further extend our leadership in the markets we serve,” Mr. Carvajal said. “The tool allows us to communicate visually with the customer, enabling levels of interaction that were not possible before.”
Specifically, CET Designer® enables effective communication between the sales staff and manufacturing management – and it’s also a highly effective tool for communicating with clients. By providing exact specifications, the probability of surprises in the advanced stages of development of a particular project is greatly reduced. “This translates directly into increased customer satisfaction,” Carvajal said.
CET software gives the designers a whole new level of access to correctly and accurately explore different possibilities, which in turn allows for increased customer satisfaction.
“It's very exciting to integrate a CET Designer-based solution into our workflow,” said Carlos A. Delgadillo, marketing director, Mepal S.A. “The flexibility and precision of CET Designer provides us with a tool that is superior to many other solutions in the market today and makes it possible to achieve outstanding results in remarkably less time than CAD software.”
