Configura announces 2nd annual CET Designer® User Conference
Pat Patrick with Business Office Systems is the winner of a free trip to the 2nd annual Configura CET Designer® User Conference Sept. 30 – Oct. 1 at The Venetian/Palazzo in Las Vegas. Patrick’s was the winning entry drawn on June 17 at NeoCon in Chicago.
The conference is free to CET Designer® and Extension users, which now include:
Haworth’s Canvas Extension- ProjectMatrix’s ProjectSymbols Extension
- Spacefile’s SpaceTools Extension
- Steelcase’s SmartTools Extension
- Teknion’s Storyboard Extension
“The conference was a huge success last year – we were at capacity,” said Tracy Prevost, training and support manager. “In these tough economic times, we hope that offering the conference for free again will help dealers to send users to this valuable two-day learning experience.”
The Best of NeoCon Gold Award-Winning CET Designer® is used to design and specify office furnishings and space. The software produces photo-realistic renderings, accurate bills of materials and complete installation instructions – without relying on AutoCAD, although the software easily integrates with AutoCAD. The latest version, CET Designer® 2.2, which has a new graphics engine, vastly improves the power to handle large drawings and projects.
Free subscription
Each dealership that sends an attendee will receive a free one-year new subscription to CET Designer®, a value of $750 (Extensions not included; offer applies to additional, new subscriptions only, not renewals. Limit one free license per dealership.).
Users will learn how to unleash the power of CET Designer® Version 2.2, discover the industry-changing capabilities of CET Designer’s new Revit® Extension (releasing fall 2009) and be inspired with creative sessions and industry thought leaders.
A sampling of the sessions:
- Learn from your power peers
- Revit® integration … virtual fly-thru’s … the future is now
- Working with large drawings in CET Designer®
“The potential of the software is just now beginning to be tapped, and there is so much more we will be doing with it in the future,” said Maureen Soules, CID, Fluid Interiors, Minneapolis, who will lead one of the peer-taught sessions.
Industry technology and training guru Cate Sword, IIDA, returns to train and present. Brian Bosley of Torch Consulting also returns to present an inspiring talk, Courage to Change – Embracing Change to Experience Success.
“I walked away from last year’s conference with such excitement and a vast amount of knowledge. I can’t wait to see and hear everything this year as well as learn more from other CET users,” said Sophie Hsu, Project Management Team, Heritage Office Furnishings Ltd., Vancouver, BC.
At the conference, dealers can meet with their manufacturing representatives to share ideas, updates and best practices.
The Office Furniture Dealers Alliance (OFDA) is a conference sponsor.
