Trim Lines

Did you know...
 
...that you can use the feature 'Trim Line' to delete a specific part of one or several lines?
 

Example

If you are working with a drawing and wish to trim two overlapping lines, or erase one specific line at a time.
 

How to use 'Trim Line'

Do as follows to trim overlapping lines:

  1. Select the tool 'Trim Line' on the component tab 'Line Drawing 1'.
  2. Move the mouse pointer to the drawing area.
  3. Click and hold down the left mouse button just next to the overlapping lines you wish to trim.
  4. Move the mouse pointer over the lines. A red line is drawn (see figure to the right).
  5. Release the mouse button. The selected lines are trimmed up to where they meet another line.

 Do as follows to erase one line at a time:
 
  1. Select the tool 'Trim Line' on the component tab 'Line Drawing 1'.
  2. Move the mouse pointer to the drawing area and the line which you wish to erase. The 'Trim Line' tool snaps to the line.
  3. Click once on the line. A red dashed line is displayed.
  4. Move the mouse pointer along the line (see figure to the right).
  5. Click once more when the dashed line covers the line, or a part of it, to erase.
