Panning made easy

Did you know...

...that there is an easy way of panning the drawing area without risking moving components by mistake?

Example

You are currently working on a drawing consisting of a large number of components. You have also applied dimensions and used help lines. Perhaps it looks something like Figure 1 below. If you want to pan the drawing area in a case like this, it is very easy to select a component by mistake and perhaps move it or even delete it.

Solution

So, how can this problem be avoided?

It is easy! Simply press and hold down the scroll wheel while moving the mouse to pan the drawing area. This eliminates the risk of selecting components by mistake.
