Changing settings of all similar components at the same time

Did you know that...
 
...you can change the color of all similar components in the drawing area at the same time?
 

Example:

If you have changed the size or color of a component you can then, in one step, also apply the changes to all similar components in the drawing area. You will find this option in most Settings dialogs as well as in the Material/Color Change dialogs, which are accessed by right-clicking on a component.

To change the color of the seat on all similar chairs in the drawing area, proceed as follows:
  1. Right-click on one of the chairs in the drawing area, for which you wish to change color. A pop-up menu is displayed.
  2. Select the Material/Color option in the pop-up menu. The Material/Color Change dialog is displayed.
  3. Select the Seat option in the Surface Name drop down menu in the top left-hand corner of the dialog box.
  4. In the Color Model /Type field, select which type of color or material you wish to apply to the seats by selecting one of the three options; Predefined, Texture or RGB Color and then select the desired color.
  5. In the Apply to field, in the bottom left-hand corner of the dialog box, select the All option in the drop-down menu.
  6. Leave the option Equal Components unchanged.
  7. Click on OK or Apply.
Now the color of the seat will be changed on all chairs that are similar to the one you right-clicked on.
