Speed up your work with components

Did you know....

...that there are two useful shortcuts in CET Designer that will help you speed up your work with components?

Paste Selected Component

Imagine that you would like to create an exact copy of a panel that you have placed in the drawing area and modified to suit your design. Instead of copying and pasting, simply single select the panel in the drawing area and press A on the keyboard. An exact copy of that panel appears by the mouse pointer. Just click in the drawing area where you wish to position that panel. Press A again to insert another panel.

Locate Component Tabs

When you are working in a drawing, items can begin to look the same. To locate the exact component tab that a component came from, single select the component in the 2D or 3D drawing area and press L on the keyboard. An arrow will be placed in the component tab where the component is located. Simultaneously an exact copy of that component appears by the mouse pointer. Just click in the drawing area where you wish to position the component. If you wish to drop the component, press Esc or move off the drawing area.
