Add an extra view

Did you know....

...that you can combine multiple views of the same layout in CET Designer?

Example:

You wish to generate an additional view for rendering the 3D and then use the original 2D and 3D views to modify lights and the layout. The additional 3D popup view can be made very small, which makes it easier and faster to render the 3D.

Follow the steps below:

  1. Go to the 'Views' menu and select 'New 3D view'. A popup window appears with the new additional view. You can now adjust the size of the window, adjust the zoom and the angle.
  2. Back in the original 3D view, make your photo and lighting settings.
  3. In the new 3D view, select 'Render Image'.
Note: You can also add an additional 2D view, i.e. have two plan views of different areas of a drawing. This means that on a drawing of a large building you can copy/paste components (alternatively move components by dragging) from one end of the building to the other, i.e. from one window to the other.
