Release Notes - CET Designer 2.3.3 fixes and changes

Changes

  • The advanced rendering engine now uses less memory when rendering on screen or directly to file. 
     
  • Inserted images are now automatically scaled down in the 2D view and in the Paper view to decrease memory load. Anything above 1024X1024 pixels will be scaled down to fit this resolution while maintaining aspect ratio.

Fixes

  • Rotated inserted images now behave correctly when printing and when creating PDF files.
     
  • Render to file, generating PDF files and printing no longer result in empty View Ports.
     
  • Fixed several issues with the advanced graphics engine that could lead to a crash.
     
  • Fixed issue with Paper View and zooming in on View Ports that could cause a crash.
     
  • Fixed issue with Alternatives and the feature Freeze others that would lead to a crash.
     
  • Fixed issue with Alternatives that could lead to a crash.
     
  • Fixed issue with placing of spot lights at a certain height that could lead to a crash.

  • Fixed problem with printing of locked View Ports from the Paper View.
     
  • Fixed problem with rendering of View ports looking at different Alternatives.
     
  • Fixed problem with load of old drawings where dimensions could have their default values updated incorrectly.
