CET Designer Extensions
An Extension is an add-on to CET Designer® to make the software unique for the user. There are two types of Extensions: Product Extensions and Utility Extensions. A Product Extension is a complete business definition of a manufacturer's products. Besides parametric-based product descriptions, a Product Extension also includes information about configuration rules, business logic and the workflow process.
A Utility Extension is a functional improvement or add-on to CET Designer. It can contain anything from a CRM module to extended CAD functionality. Utility Extensions do not include any manufacturer-specific products. As is the case with Product Extensions, all Utility Extensions contain security and licensing information.
